Unique Foundation (UF) was established in 2014 as a charitable organization incorporated in The Gambia under the 2013 Companies Act (registration no: 2014/C699). In 2023, we expanded our operations to Nigeria and became known as Unique Development Aid Foundation, registered with the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (registration number: 6932602). In Nigeria, we are a member of The Nigeria Network of NGOs.
In The Gambia, UF has formed a partnership with the Government of The Gambia, specifically through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE). Our foundation works closely with vulnerable children, youth, women, and rural communities in both The Gambia and Nigeria. Our primary focus areas revolve around ensuring access to quality education, promoting good health, and raising awareness about human right, environmental hygiene and social issues.
Since our inception in 2014, our foundation has been dedicated to implementing projects that improve the quality of education in The Gambia and Nigeria. We strive to increase opportunities for underprivileged children to access free learning materials, study facilities, and mentorship. Moreover, we place a strong emphasis on the importance of education and provide income-generating skills training to underprivileged and unemployed young individuals.
