During last week, I had the pleasure of staying at the amazing Kairaba Hotel in Serekunda, Gambia. One of the treats for my parents and myself was to get a massage onsite. The entire staff offered me the VIP treatment along with the history and coalitions that exist in the Gambia. So I walked in with the expectations of only a massage but walked away culturally enriched. The staff was so courteous and humble. They were constantly checking on me to see how the services were being received. The management went over and beyond to ensure my happiness. When I return to the Gambia, this will be one of the first stops that I have to make in the future at the Kairaba hotel.
