Our History
Welcome to African Queen, the place in Kololi, Gambia where you can enjoy the flavors of Africa and Europe. This story began 30 years ago when the Swedish owners combined their passion for cooking and hospitality to create a unique culinary experience, which was continued by me in Belgian hands since September 2023. For years, guests from all over the world have been welcomed to enjoy our food and hospitality.

At African Queen we strive to provide our guests with an unforgettable culinary experience, infused with the flavours and hospitality of Africa combined with Europe. Our vision is to be a meeting place where people from different cultures come together to enjoy delicious food, warm hospitality and memorable moments.

Behind the scenes at African Queen, a dedicated team of talented chefs, wait staff and management work to ensure that every guest has an amazing experience. Our passion for cooking and hospitality comes to life in every dish we serve and every smile we receive.
Our Speciality
Come enjoy our delicious Sizzlers such as Captain Buba’s Boat, Beef Tahonga or Chicken à la Chef or treat yourself to our rich seafood platter the Seafood Platter on Wood. In addition to our extensive menu choice, we also serve a range of dishes for the little ones.
