The Medicare Clinic in Brusubi is a small charity hospital which relies on its charitable medical funding on cash donations, in-kind, charitable gifts, contributions, and public grants to support its medical services.
The healthcare charity came into being after many years of benevolence shown by the proprietor of the Stop Step Pharmacy, Annmary Shallop, towards less fortunate Gambian patients who could not sometimes afford to pay for their prescribed medications.
In order to help in the philanthropic efforts of the health center’s founder they welcome donations of laboratory equipment, therapeutic drugs, clinic furniture, etc.
The Medicare health centre has an ultra-modern surgery theatre, a well equipped labour ward, a patients waiting room, and other healthcare services for Gambian in-patients and out-patients.
